Weekly Spelling Homework

• Monday - Sort your words in your spelling notebook.  Pay special attention to your headings - look at the way words are spelled and their sounds.

• Tuesday - Word Patterns - create 10 word operations from your words - i.e. chart-ch=art

      Syllables and Affixes and Derivational-     Split 10 words into syllables - i.e. - hap     pen

• Wednesday - ABC order

• Thursday - No Peek Sort - have someone in your family give you a pretest of all your words and you sort them in the correct headings as you write them.  Study the patterns in any words you spell incorrectly so you are ready for the test on Friday.
